He was born and raised in the Long Island town of Garden City.
He attained a bachelors degree from Northwestern University and subsequently his medical degree from University College Dublin. He completed his residency at University of Utah. His specialty training was obtained at the minimally Invasive Spine Institute under the direction of Dr. Nameer Haider in Arlington Virginia
